Unfortunately, absolutely reliable data on the number of series-produced He 114s are not available. According to Delivery Plan No.5 of 1 April 1937, a total of 72 He 114 planes are delivered as follows:
That then the final figure ended up significantly higher is shown by the fact that the Luftwaffe received at least 120 copies. In addition, it appears that Weserflug in Einswarden carried out a total of 162 "reconstructions" of He 114. In connection with these, the aircraft can also have been assigned new "rebuilding numbers" why W.Nr. for He 114 are difficult to map. Airplane with W.Nr. 1971-1973 and 2255-2298 is probably manufactured at Heinkel's factories, while the number of series 23.. and 25.. could have been made by Weser.

Of the aircraft manufactured by Heinkel from In 1937 in Rostock-Marienehe, all the major building elements (except floats) to Weserflug for final assembly. Weserflug manufactured all of them floats for He 114.

Final delivery of the He 114 from Weserflug:

n addition to the final assembly described above, extensive modification work on the Weserflug He 114. The armament was changed on 34 floors, the engine installation was rebuilt on 118 floors and 63 Extra float racks (reserve) were made.

It can therefore be assumed that it was totally manufactured at least 162 copies (series) of Heinkel He 114. Of at least 120 examples were delivered to the Luftwaffe. From the available summary of the number of He 114 of the Luftwaffe states the following:

The Heinkel He 114 was never a success in the Luftwaffe. The aircraft had poor characteristics at take-off and landing in high seas and despite attempts to other floats, modified rudders, stabilizer and tail fin etc. the problems could never be eliminated. It was thanks to the plane's poor characteristics, which it was released for export after the outbreak of war in 1939!

After all, a number of He 114s served as reconnaissance planes on catapulted blockade breakers in the South Atlantic and Indian Oceans. Otherwise, He 114 was used in S.A.Gr. 125 (Seeaufklärungs Gruppe) based in the Baltics until the start of Operation "Barbarossa" in June 1941. For a short period before the outbreak of war in 1939, the He 114 was also used within Ku.Fl.Gr.506 (Kusten Flieger Gruppe) based on the German Baltic Sea coast.
