At the end of 1943, the separate Battalion 4 received one Fw 58 B aircraft from the Germans, whose German code was NH+OI. It was picked up from Germany by pilot Martti Paasonen.
The plane was the liaison plane of the battalion commander, located in Mikkeli ja Rissala.
The state aircraft factory installed skis on the plane in the winter of 1943–1944.
After the armistice, the plane remained in use by the air force to mislead the control commission with the civil code OH-PMS, in the catalogs it was FH-1.
The plane was used by the Finnish Army, flying and maintenance by the Finnish Air Force. This large plane was only flown for 30 hours in Finland.
However, this plane was in use by the Army from October 1943 to 1944 and was returned to Germany. In principle, Weihe was thus loaned to the ground forces.
However, Air Force personnel flew them and maintained them. The large-sized Weih was only flown for about 30 hours, even though it was in use in 1943–1944
