The lack of aircraft for bomber crew training, the delay in the delivery of SM-84bis caused the VVZ (Air Weapons Command) to accept the DLM (Deutsche Luftwaffemision - German Air Mission) offer for the delivery of 10 Fw 58C-2s. The aircraft were delivered and taken over during July 1943, after flying they were assigned to the 41st and training squadron.
