Six Fw 56A-1 acquired from the manufacturer in 1936. Used by the Fighter School for the training role, and reportedly in the early 1940s for "initial & basic flying training" - even though it was a single seater! Fuselage codes 11, 22 and 33 carried. Withdrawn from service in 1940? Komar = Gnat
