Performance two-seater derived from the Rhöngeist, and the Professor, but larger in size.
The "Badisch-Pfalzige Aeronautical Union" of Mannheim turned up with the twoseater "Mannheim," known from the previous year, which in fact represented a two-seater structure of the "Professor" type. The aircraft, which was flown chiefly as a single-seater by the Mannheim pilots Christ and Schlerf, appeared late at the meeting, and only a few flights could be carried out on it. Unfortunately the machine was not readily overhauled, so that the defects still pertaining to it did not permit of clear examination.
Summary storyGlider which had been ordered from Alexander SCHLEICHER by the Deutscher Luftfahrt Verband group (or "Badisch-Pfalzige Aeronautical Union") of Mannheim. The glider was not ready in time to participate in the Rhön competition, but it was tested by Nehring and Kronfeld at the end of the competition and showed good flying qualities in average
Robert Kronfeld flew a glider called Fasold, which could be either one of the Mannheims built by A. Schleicher, or a replica.
