Die Metallwerke Niedersachsen Brlnckman & Mergeil ( MENIBUM)

Before the collaboration between Hamburger Flugzeugbau and Menibum began, Hamburger Flugzeugbau manufactured 194 Junkers W 34s between May 1936 and August 1937, with a 60% share of the production itself. The wings and tail surfaces were manufactured by Weser Flugzeugbau GmbH.
Fuselage production and final assembly were carried out by Hamburger Flugzeugbau. With Weser Flugzeugbau GmbH as a supplier, Hamburger Flugzeugbau also manufactured 75 Ju 86s from April 1937 to December 1937. Here, too, Weser Flugzeugbau GmbH supplied the wings, while Hamburger Flugzeugbau supplied the tail surfaces and fuselages, and also performed final assembly. Therefore, the Ju 86 assemblies were not yet manufactured by Menibum; Max P. Andreae was incorrect in his 1967 records.
A further 67 Junkers W 34s were manufactured from July 1937 to September 1938, with Hamburger Flugzeugbau accounting for 66% of the production. For the first time, the Hamburg-Harburg-based supplier Menibum was involved in the production of the wings, ailerons, and tail surfaces. Menibum became a new supplier to Hamburger Flugzeugbau, as Weser Flugzeugbau GmbH increasingly operated as an independent aircraft manufacturer in Lemwerder and Einswarden on the Weser. Hamburger Flugzeugbau subsequently built 29 Do 17 F aircraft under license between November 1937 and April 1938. Menibum manufactured the wings and engine frames. From June 1938 to April 1940, 149 Do 17 Ps were produced, for which Menibum was responsible for the construction of the wings, engine frames, ailerons, and landing flaps. Do 17 license production at B&V ended with 73 Do 17 Zs, manufactured between March 1939 and September 1940. Menibum also manufactured the vertical and horizontal stabilizers in addition to the existing components.
However, Menibum faced problems in the new field of aircraft parts production due to poorly trained and a shortage of skilled workers. On August 26, 1939, Rudolph Blohm noted the start of Bv 138 tail assembly production at Menibum:
"The inspection department there overlooked such defects on the first Bv 138 tail assembly booms built by Menibum that the aircraft could easily have crashed with these tail assembly booms.
