The high-performance glider type "Westhang" is a braced high-wing aircraft. The wing area of 18.0 m2 is designed in two parts in order to achieve a lower construction weight than with the otherwise common three-part design. The ailerons are operated by ropes with two levers distributed along the length of the rudder. The fuselage has 5 longitudinal spars and is planked with plywood in the usual way. It ends at the back in a vertical cutting edge, to which the straightening surface and the rudder, which come out organically from the fuselage, are connected.
