exported to China following the unsatisfactory testing under all-up weight conditions
of two aircraft at Rechlin
V-4 (D-AHA0)/He 111C-0; six airframes, transport version
V-5 (D-APYS)/He 111B (B-1 and B-2 sub-variants); the V-5 had DB600A engines (batch
of preproduction He 111 B-Os were similar to the He 111A 0. but with revised engines),
the B-1 featured DB600C engines rated at 880hp; the B-2 had DB600CG engines rated
at 950hp
V-6 (D-AXOH); B-0 airframe fitted with Jumo 210Ga engines rated at 700hp, these
were later replaced by Jumo 211-A-1 engines rated at I.OOOhp
V-7 (D- )/He 111F; similar to the He 111E-5; Jumo 211A-3 engines rated at 1.100hp, a
small batch of F-1 and F-4 airframes were delivered to Turkey and the Luftwaffe,
respectively, elliptical wing pattern was displaced by a straight tapered pattern, with
angled back leading edges outboard of the engines and straight trailing edges on the
ailerons and outer section of the flaps; the nose area was later reconfigured in the
same manner as the V-8 and the airframe was used as the model for the He 111P
variant
V-8 (D-AQUO), featured a reconfigured nose area, with the 'stepped-down' cockpit
displaced by a continuous fuselage top line; regarded as the prototype for the He 111H
series
V-9 (D-AQ0X)/He 111D, DB600Ga engines fitted (only a small production batch of the
He 111D was built before its displacement by the He 111E)
V-10: |D-ALEQ)/He 111E; a small batch of He 111 E-Os preceded the He 111 E-1, E-3,
E-4 and E-5 production aircraft; bomb load of 2,000kg (4,4001b) was divided between
internal and external carriage on the He 111 E-4, the He 111 E-5 variants carried
auxiliary fuel tanks in the fuselage; 200 airframes were constructed
V-11: (D-ARCQ); further development of the V7 in respect of the He 111F
V-19: ID-AUKY); B-1 airframe, adapted to full He 111H configuration
V-23 ID-AHAY); B-1 airframe on which the 'Bodenwanne' frame was tested
