From the autumn of 1921, Gottlob Espenlaub began working with Alexander Lippisch at the Wasserkuppe, building a flying wing. At the same time, he built his second glider, an ultralight, during the winter of 1921-1922. However, the flight tests were no more conclusive than with his first aircraft.
