In 1928 Caspar Werke AG issued an intelligence seaplane, designated Caspar C.36. It was a two-seater single-column a biplane powered by a BMW VI 6Z engine with 660 hp

Single  aircraft (Werk.N. 7013) has been tested as a float (C.36w) and wheeled, but orders for it did not follow. Lack of orders caused bankruptcy company.

In June 1929, the C.36 was transferred to RDL Erprobungs Stelle, assigning the civil registration number D-1316. In January 1932, the aircraft was decommissioned.
