The last commercial aircraft design from 1928 was one of the few multi-engine RaKa aircraft. The Raab-Katzenstein RK 17 had a passenger capacity of 4-5 passengers and was intended for operation on secondary routes with fewer passengers. Like the RaKa RK 14, this smaller design also required a 600 hp engine, which, as with the RaKa RK 10, was distributed between two 310 hp Junkers L5s. Luft Hansa showed no interest in this aircraft either. The RaKa RK 17 was the last known design of a larger passenger aircraft from the Raab-Katzenstein works. According to the 1928 price list, the RK 17 was offered at a unit price of 46,000 RM.
