Messerschmitt designed an aircraft for "less money". Everybody should be able, to buy it. So the "Volksflugzeug" M-33 should be sold as a kit. The aircraft was first shown at the "Luftsportausstellung" in Berlin in 1932 as a 1:1 scale model.
But in the 30's nobody wanted to buy that aircraft. So it were never produced. The engine was in front of the cockpit  but the propeller was on top of the wing.
