In 1934, a light multi-purpose aircraft, designated Kobold , was built at the Flugtechnische Arbeitsgemeinschaft an der HTL Hamburg (FAG Hamburg) plant . It was a single-seat low-wing aircraft with a reverse gull wing, equipped with a two-cylinder air-cooled ILO Fl-2/400 engine with a power of 22 hp.
The initial version of the aircraft with an open cockpit received the registration number D-YBOK. Two years later, especially for the Olympia-Großflugtag competition (dedicated to the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin), the Kobold was modernized with a closed cockpit. In addition to the cockpit, the aircraft has changed its registration to D-YBIM.
