In 1927, the Dz 3, a replica of a school glider of the Pegasus type, was called "Uncle Ferdinand", because Ferdinand Schulz, the East Prussian, had flown there. Other comrades bought the Akaflieger a year later in Königsberg. The original name of Luwa II (Aerial Surveillance Service) changed the group to the new name DAGOMA by thanking a company in Gdansk that had sponsored the purchase.
Until 1928/29 it was made some changes and reported for the Rhönwettbewerb 1928. But it is obviously no longer there; The Dz 1 "died" a rare death for those moments at that time. The same contest was also reported for the Dz 3, which did not fly there according to contemporary records.
